Acclaimed award-winning actor Dr Jerry Mofokeng receives the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 7th Royalty Soapie Awards.
The renowned actor started his schooling journey at the Wits Drama School where he majored in acting and later moved to study at Columbia University in America for his master’s degree in Theatre Directing.
Throughout the years the actor has been widely recognised for his roles in Emmy Award-winning film Tsotsi, Mr Bones and Cry Beloved Country just to name a few.
In 2019, the University of Free State (UFS) honoured Dr Jerry with an honourary Doctor of Letters (DLitt) degree for his service to humanity. His recently launched book “Nna Ke Monna” was also released at the university.
According to the awards hub, the 7th Royal Soapie Awards celebrates South African television stars for their spectacular and entertaining on-screen performances.
Taking to Instagram, a page dedicated to celebrating mzansi’s finest talents in the acting industry, ActorSpace, shared a post announcing Dr Jerry Mofokeng’s achievement, with the caption:
