It feels as though it was just yesterday that South Africans were introduced to Musa Mthobeni – a then, vibrant teenager who was best known for presenting on SABC 1’s teen program YoTV.
Fast forward to where we are now, and the young talent has achieved several additional titles and accolades along the way including becoming a radio presenter, actor, and husband to former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie and a qualified medical doctor.
It appears there is no limit to the lengths that he would go to achieve some of his dreams and South Africans have been there to witness it all.
The ambitious Musa has recently celebrated his 34th birthday.

Taking to his Instagram page he shared just how much the new year has meant to him, sharing his gratitude towards some of his accomplishments in recent years he wrote:
“South Africa’s favourite day of the year has arrived. A day more important than December 16 and 31 out together. A day when all your wishes come true.”
“A day when if you go check your bank balance at the ATM, you’ll be greeted with a healthier bank balance.”
“Welcome to #InternationalBigDaddyDay2024.”

He later touched on just how much his life has changed over the last few years, adding:
“The age I’m turning is starting to sound too serious. It sounds like the age of someone who works for “Uhulumeni”. Think about it! What do you imagine when you think of a man who says he works for “Uhulumeni”? Exactly!
“Because I’m now officially 34 (Modimo!!) please address me as Ntate Mthombeni or Bab’BigDaddy!”
“I’m officially the age of a respected member of society,” Musa concluded.
Over the last 24 hours, Musa shared several videos showing how much went into the celebrations and how his wife Liesl showered him with gifts while Shekineh’s Different plays in the background.
