Since being sworn in as Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Action SA’s Dr Nasiphi Moya has attracted the attention of many citizens who commend her for leading by example and embodying the change she wants to see in governance.
The Tshwane municipality has been the target of immense criticism and backlash over the years, as citizens have questioned and challenged the leadership and governance that the municipality has been subjected to. Issues such as financial mismanagement, debt, irregular expenditure, service delivery failures and infrastructure decay are among just some of the challenges that plague the once glorious area.
However, it appears that citizens’ hope has been restored since late last year when Dr Nasiphi Moya, who has been extremely vocal about transforming and returning Tshwane into an inclusive and well-governed capital city, stepped into office as Executive Mayor. Her short reign has been characterised by her and her team taking to the ground to tackle Tshwane’s challenges head-on, and as efficiently as possible.
By prioritising things like service delivery, equity and inclusion, empowerment, governance and accountability, Dr Nasiphi is on the way to becoming one of the more trusted leaders in our country. Her short reign as mayor has been characterised by practical work that has already made a difference for residents of her municipality. Mandates such as reclaiming the CBD have been a top priority for the mayor, and she has been at the forefront of this mission.
Our efforts to reclaim the CBD are ongoing. We are, however, dealing with stubborn individuals 😒 https://t.co/b74rRo2Xfo

Dr Nasiphi’s work and efforts appear to not be in vain as residents and citizens have taken to their social media to applaud her for her practising what she preaches, and making an effort to bring about the much-needed change. These users commend her visibility as well as her commitment to her cause, which is something that has not been seen in politicians for a while now.
There’s no other Mayor who has been inspired by what Dr Nasiphi Moya is doing with the City of Tshwane.

Dr Nasiphi Moya is handling with tasks that the previous government failed to achieve in years! The City of Tshwane needed a saviour, it was heading the Johannesburg route!
I will forever be grateful to an honourable Man like Herman Mashaba, for nurturing a phenomenal leader…
