MK party member Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla was recently sworn in as a member of the National Assembly, together with 57 other party members who include former Judge President of the Western Cape Division of the High Court, Dr Hlophe, the former Black First Land First party president Andile Mngxitama among its members.
Former Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa was also among those sworn in as he was unavailable at the swearing-in ceremony last week.
Duduzile has been at the forefront of Umkhonto Wesizwe from the beginning, serving as his father’s right-hand woman through the trials and tribulations the party has faced since its formation. Today, MK stands as the third biggest party in the country something Duduzile is proud of.
Last week, MK members did not attend the official ceremony due to their belief that the elections were rigged. All 58 party members were present recently when they were sworn in.
After being sworn in, a proud Duduzile shared a humorous post on X, an app formerly known as Twitter, commenting, “I am so proud to be ushering in the next generation of the Zuma family in parliament. Put some respect on my name… Honourable Dudu Zuma-Sambudla.”

Represent MK with pride knowing that the army of other women outside Parliament is behind you and all other 57 MKP members. We have trust in you maqabane ka-Msholozi.

A user who wasn’t impressed with the post commented:
Finally speaking the truth. We could see from the start that you & your father were making this a family business. Pity the supporters who are blind to this.
