Viewers will see actor Dumisani Dlamini on their small screens again after bagging a role on etv’s Isitha the enemy.
The thespian will portray the role of Nsimbi, a rich man from KwaZulu Natal, who will be Rebecca Mabuza’s (played by Linda Sebezo) rivalry.
Dumisani is one of the most country’s recognisable actors, having played iconic roles like Chester in the classic series Yizo Yizo and Crocodile in Sarafina, alongside US actor Whoopi Goldberg.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Dumisani said he loves the challenge and is happy to be part of the Black Brain production.
“I’ll be playing an interesting character, Nsimbi. He is a rich man from KZN and will be facing off with Rebecca Mabuza in the story. Nsimbi will be shaking things up on Isitha. The viewers will grow to love me,” Dumisani said.
Dumisani explained to the publication how he landed a role on Isitha the enemy. “Mandla N contacted me and explained the story idea of the role I’ll be playing, and I understood what he was talking about, and already I’m killing it on set.”
The actor said he can also produce, direct as an artist, “Looking back, I wouldn’t have fathered a superstar (American rapper and singer, Zandile Dlamini popularly known as Doja Cat) if I wasn’t an artist myself. It is in our bloodline to be in the creative arts space,” said the actor.
Dumisani hinted to the publication that later this year, he will be releasing an Afro-pop and kwaito single.
The telenovela follows Chuma Sokhulu, a man who left his life as a preacher to become a criminal in a foreign country. After being presumed dead for a year, Chuma makes a dazzling return to his hometown, only to discover that his brother has committed the ultimate betrayal.
