According to The South African, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index is a daily ranking of the world’s richest people. The position now held by Elon Musk was formerly held by France’s Bernard Arnault. Bernard is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s largest luxury goods company.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, most of Elon’s wealth is generated primarily from his ownership stakes in Tesla and SpaceX, with an estimated net worth of around $225 billion.
Following Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index is founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, which neatly rounds up the top 3 richest people in the world.
The rest of the Top 10, in order, are: Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Steve Ballmer, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Mark Zuckerberg.
