Faith Nketsi’s husband Nzuzo Njilo has been a hot topic for the past week after he and co-accused Kwanda Ntshangase were wanted by the Kwazulu- Natal police for an alleged fraud case.
Nzuzo handed himself to the Port Shepstone police yesterday joining co-accused Kwanda who had been in police custody since last week Thursday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed Nzuzo’s arrest and said, “He was to remain in custody until April 28 when he will join his accomplice, who handed himself over to the police on Thursday and appeared in the same court on Friday.”
Speaking on the charges Nzuzo and Kwanda are facing, Netshiunda said, “They are alleged to have masqueraded as salesmen who pretended to be selling a truck in May 2021,”
“The unsuspecting buyer allegedly went and physically viewed the truck at a dealership in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, and later paid the two a substantial amount of money. The truck was never delivered.”
“Njilo and Ntshangase are on the police’s wanted list in connection with a case of fraud. The police have uncovered that certain information on the sale agreement was fraudulent and a criminal case has been duly opened.”
Nzuzo the son of former mayor of Msunduzi Local Municipality, Themba Njilo, had on Friday said that he would hand himself to the police on Monday, and he seem to have stuck to his word. Faith Nketsi has not said anything about this matter following her husband’s arrest.
Nzuzo and Kwanda who are both still in police custody will together appear in court this coming Friday.
