Famous TikToker accuses Dr Malinga of exploitation

by Sergio Miller

Renowned musician and record producer Goodwill Malinga, affectionately known by his stage name Dr Malinga has found himself in hot water in recent weeks.

This comes after the singer was accused of exploiting a famous TikToker by paying him much less than what was charged for event bookings. The victim involved in the situation is the ever-vibrant dancer Tsekeleke.

According to reports by the news and entertainment publication Daily Sun, the music giant assumed the role of the TikToker’s manager with promises of their collaboration being one that would evolve into a prosperous partnership. However, things quickly turned sour between the two after Tsekeleke whose real name is Mixon Tholo alleges that he now finds himself begging for the money which he is owed from gigs he performed at.

In an interview with Daily Sun Tsekeleke revealed that that he has been working tirelessly throughout the festive season, at venues booked by Malinga, but has not been compensated. He now believes that Malinga has been exploiting him.

It is alleged that the TikToker has been offered R100 000 by a generous donor through which Dr Malinga later got involved and asked him to make the payment into his account – since then, Tsekeleke says that he has never seen a cent. Instead, he was showered with brand-new furniture that was purchased by the musician after complaining about the matter.

In the interview with the above-mentioned publication, he said: “He arrived with beds, but my family was not happy. They are angry at what he has done.”

He claims that there have been various other instances where Malinga charged clients hefty prices but only gave him a R2000.

Meanwhile, Dr. Malinga denied the allegations, saying that his motive was to help the family manage their money better.
