After taking what seemed to be a permanent break from music, mzansi music legend Cassper Nyovest has made his long-awaited return with a new offering titled ‘Kusho Bani’. Upon the first listen, mzansi labelled the song a miss from the once-certified hitmaker.
11 years into an illustrious and prosperous career, Cassper Nyovest has become one of Mzansi’s most popular and successful musicians, as he has displayed a unique knack for delivering timeless projects that resonate with a vast and diverse audience. With hits such as ‘Doc Shebeleza’, ‘Tito Mboweni’ and ‘Baby Girl’ under his belt, the rapper has cemented his legacy as one of the best to ever do it in mzansi.
In an effort to pick up where he left off, the Cassper disclosed that his latest song ‘Kusho Bani’ is now available on digital platforms for all to feast on. Taking to his Instagram, Cassper announced to his fans and followers.

Although the song gives a typical Cassper Nyovest smash-hit feel with the great use of an infectious bass-heavy beat accompanied by a catchy hook, some internet users have come out to express their disapproval of the song, labelling it a flop on Cassper’s side. According to these users, the song just does not have that ‘thing’ and they question whether the Cassper that has produced a plethora of mzansi hits is the same one giving them this subpar offering.
To add salt to the wound, some users remember the late AKA in this time, claiming the reason his death stings so much is due to artists such as Cassper releasing unimpressive music.
Cassper’s music is the reason AKA’s passing hurts even more 😩😩😩 https://t.co/FRZiWrbYoc

In retaliation, Cassper makes a valid point by highlighting his track record in the industry, revealing that a significant part of his catalogue was deemed a flop in the early stages and then went on to be some of the biggest songs in the country, citing ‘Doc Shebeleza’ and Phumakimi’ as a reference.
He then goes on to remind his fans and foes that he did not get where he is today by mistake, rather, he has mastered the formula and knows exactly what he is doing, essentially telling his haters to watch him cook, as the youth says.
Phumakim was also called trash on twitter when it came out, so was Doc Shebeleza and all my other hits 12 years straight!!! I know what I’m doing and this twitter hype dies when I get on stage !!! Y’all can’t stop me or convince my fans I’m not the GOAT!!! I AM THAT NIGGA!!! https://t.co/sJidnwZOs1
