DStv Delicious festivalgoers braved the cold this weekend to see their favourites perform. Many lamented the fact that no ticket refunds were given when Janet Jackson cancelled her headliner slot for Saturday following the death of her brother Tito Jackson.
This left festival organisers in a pickle as they scrambled to fill her spot. Soon after, they announced US R&B star Jason Derulo and hip-hop great Busta Rhymes as the replacement acts.
Judging from the posts on social media, the annual lifestyle festival was a rousing success despite the temperature hitting record lows.
As one X (formerly Twitter) user put it: “This platform can be so misleading these days…. Everyone was complaining about the replacement acts and the weather but look at how packed day 1 of #DStvDeliciousFestival2024”.

The rapper then ended things off at a nightclub. According to @MDNnewss, he offered a R90,000 reward for the return of a woman’s stolen iPhone in the club.
