It comes as no surprise when two powerhouses within the entertainment industry form a bond outside of their usual expertise. Record producer and businessman DJ Oskido has taken the opportunity to offer guidance in a new business venture that his fellow musician and record producer Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe has decided to venture into.
While many may know Oskido is the co-founder of the record brand Kalawa Jazmee which homes many South African DJs, musicians, producers and so on. With nearly 3 decades in the music and entertainment industry it comes as no surprise that many South African artists consider this icon as a mentor, father and brother figure and a role model.
Several artists often reach out to Oskido for any form of career or life advice, especially those who have developed their careers under his wing and record label. The legendary icon has been a true representation of the saying that goes “true leadership lies in guiding others to success.”
Guiding yet another artist to success, Oskido took to Instagram to share that he will be guiding the Thembisa born DJ Maphorisa with his new property venture. With the post that is shared, many may allude that Maphorisa is quite new to the profession of real estate developing and thought it would be great to have some form of guidance from an already established businessman.
The post shared by Oskido shows the two music producers alongside two other men who are explained to be an architecture and an engineer. The four men are seen standing on the property development surrounded by layers of bricks holding onto an architectural drawing of a building project.
Oskido shared that guiding Maphorisa into this journey has been an honour. He took to Instagram to caption his post:
“It’s truly special to guide @djmaphorisa as he embarks on the path to becoming a real estate developer 💥💥💥.”
