The path to earning the makoti title is often one that is filled with many challenging moments. Taking to Instagram to share how she grabbed the bull by both horns is none other than Nozi Qamngana-Mayaba.
One thing all brides can agree on are the nerves and butterflies they encountered on their first introductory visits to their now in-laws. Taking to Instagram to share how this usually daunting moment was fun for her, Nozi shared that Skhu had taken her down to Lusikisiki to meet his family after a few months of dating.
The South African media personality and author took to Instagram to share a series of throwback images taking us down memory lane to the first time she took a trip to Lusikisiki with the intentions of meeting her boyfriend’s family.
The bubbly personality shared that she took matters into her own hands and arrived there in a headscarf and headed to the kitchen to prepare a meal for her future mother-in-law.
Nozi further shared that she was not going to let the 10 hour drive she had taken go down to waste without her leaving her mark.
It seems as though her tricks worked as she now holds the makoti title to the Mayaba family.
Sharing the series of images, she captioned her post:
“Another throwback 😂❤️. A few months after we started dating, he took me to his home in Lusikisiki. You already know how crazy I am.”
She shared upon her arrival she “arrived there with my head already covered and cooked a veriiii nice meal for my future mother-in-law. He wasn’t about to drive me 10 long ass hours for nothing. I guess I did something right because he married my unruly and crazy behind 😂.”
Highlighting their years spent together, she concluded her post by saying, “7 years later, so much has changed. But one thing that remains the same is my love for you @sgmayaba ❤️🥺.”
