
Mzansi Magic’s new telenovela, Genesis, picks up the baton from the concluding My Brother’s Keeper, delivering a gripping storyline that keeps the momentum going.
Directed by SAFTA award-winner, Luthando Mngomezulu, Genesis is set against the backdrop of the battle for control of a gospel music empire in crisis. This riveting storyline promises to delve deep into the high-stakes world of gospel music where loyalty is tested and betrayal lurks around every corner.
According to the channel, viewers can expect a drama-filled telenovela that will entertain and keep them glued to their screens. This new telenovela boasts a star-studded cast that includes Nkosinathi Maphalala AKA Nay Maps famous for roles he played in Uzalo, The Queen and recently Umkhokha: The Curse, Baby Cele known for her roles on Uzalo, Sibongile & The Dlamini’s and Shaka iLembe, Buyile Mdladla known from Gomora, KB Motsilanyane, Gaosi Raditholo known for her role on The River and Kealeboga Masango who is known from Youngins among others.
From the 21st of April, viewers will be introduced to Felicia Thabethe, who was once the queen of gospel music and built an unshakable legacy with her husband, Gabriel. However, when shocking secrets surface, everything she has worked for is thrown into chaos. Now, with Genesis Records at risk, Felicia must fight to protect her family’s name before it all crumbles.
