South African artist Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena remembers Riky Rick after they hosted a successful 5th edition of the Cotton Festival, with #VoteCottonFest as the theme in Sandton.
Cotton Fest is a celebration of the new wave in youth culture which collaborates across music, fashion, lifestyle and sports and culture. It was created by the late Soth African music icon Rikhado Makhado popularly known as Riky Rick and the movement started in 2019.
Taking to Instagram, Moozlie shared a picture of herself during the Cotton Fest, she began her caption with a bible scripture, Romans 12:5 and said that it reminds her of Riky, and how he managed to bring them all together for the Cotton Fest.
“This year in particular was really special. It really hit home for me that God keeps His promises. It’s been 2 years since Riky passed but the event was SOLD OUT!! And everyone was still screaming BOSS ZONKE!! This land is really still his home,” she added.
Before she concluded her caption by testifying that God is indeed and ultimate creator.
“I say all that to say… God keeps His promises. Anything that says otherwise is a flat out lie from the devil,” she concluded.
