The news and gossip page Maphepha Ndaba recently shared Instagram screenshots of Gogo Skhotheni’s revelations about the abuse she endured on their Twitter page, sparking both shock and solidarity among her followers.
In a series of poignant Instagram stories, she shared, “Abuse is a drug you end up normalising it but again thank God I am alive.”
In an exclusive interview with Briefly News, Gogo Skhotheni bravely shared her journey of surviving domestic violence. She courageously unpacked the trauma she endured over the past year, shedding light on the nature of abuse.
“I don’t want to reveal as yet who my abuser is though people have been speculating that it might be Monde. I am healing and I am okay you know. this has been going on since last year and this year it got even worse for me, I decided to speak out about it, and now I am realising how much it has affected me and my life. I have also taken legal actions regarding this.”

One of Gogo Skhotheni’s close friends, Danny Mdluli, revealed to Briefly News that while he wasn’t entirely surprised by her posts, he commended her for hiding her struggles well.
He noted moments of her apparent fear regarding her phone, and Danny expressed his support for Gogo Skhotheni’s decision to speak out and pursue legal action.
In response to Gogo Skhotheni’s revelations, her fans and followers flooded the comments section with messages of shock and concern.
One Instagram user said: “Who’s abusing her? If it’s her partner, how because she said she gave him love muti so how can he be abusing her.”
Another user said: “This abuse thing is becoming more and more lately 💔 truly breaks my heart when people go through ubusathane obunje. I really pray for her to heal. Tumi is an amazing person 🤞🏼 she really doesn’t deserve this. No one deserves abuse.”
