The South African food expert, Siba Mtongana is a globally recognized multi-award wining chef and TV presenter.
The world grew fond of this author and mother of four when she gave us all sorts of mouth-watering, succulent and upscale dining recipes on her cooking show, Table with Siba which premiered on the Food Network channel.
The chef then rose to prominence as she began to cement her brand within international borders, later receiving numerous international awards.
Chef Siba is woman of many titles, as she is also the founder and CEO of her “iconic 5-star dining experience” Siba The Restaurant.
In an interview with IOL – news website based in South Africa – she shared that her restaurants set to bring something the world has not yet experienced before, “I am bringing the spark of the Sibalicious touch in this fine dining space which speaks to a new taste, flavor with a dash of pizazz that is distinctly different from what is available in the market at the moment, especially in Cape Town.”
Upon sharing her excitement about opening the doors of her restaurant in 2020. The entrepreneur added “it’s extremely exciting and I can’t wait for many to finally taste my food, this time not through the recipes I have generously shared over the years for people to make at home but food that I have made myself in the kitchen with my team. The menu will be world flavors that I have gained through my travels but that is firmly rooted in Africa.”
The culinary extraordinaire has since then kept her word as her restaurant has been presented with 2 awards at the Luxe Restaurant Awards. Namely, the Best Hotel Restaurant and Excellence Award.
According to News 24 – South Africa’s largest news brand – the restaurant was named as Cape Town’s Most Exclusive Fine Dining experience for 2023 by United Kingdom’s Lux life Magazine.
Siba The Restaurant is often visited by various prominent figures from all over the world.
This week Siba The Restaurant welcomed none other than South Africa’s former first lady, Gracia Machel.
