Handre Pollard and wife Marise announce second pregnancy – ‘Our family is growing!’

by Sergio Miller

Just a few days after celebrating the first birthday of their first-born Hunter, rugby couple Handre and his wife Marise took to social media to share yet another exciting surprise.

With so much negativity happening in our country regarding the Cape Town fires and the recent VAT debates, it is also nice to have something positive to share to help us get through the month, and the iconic Pollard couple helped us do exactly that.

Taking to their Instagram page, the double World Cup winner and his wife shared a joint statement in which they officially announced their pregnancy news.

The couple shared a video of their family of three warmly embracing one another in open fields. Later, Baby Hunter reveals his new title by donning a beautifully knitted jersey with the words “brother” spread across the front, while Dad, Handre, later shares the ultrasound scans.

“Our family is growing! Hunter is going to be a big brother, and we are beyond excited. God is so good. Our little girl will join us at the end of October,” they captioned the post.

The announcement comes just five days after Hunter celebrated his birthday.

Last week, the couple penned a loving note to their firstborn.

“Congratulations on your first birthday, our sunshine boy. Thank you for the best year of our lives. You came and changed us forever in the best way possible. It’s the best thing in the world to be your mom and dad, we love you incredibly,” they wrote.

“I’m so excited,” commented Rachel Kolisi.
