The public was recently filled with mixed reactions following the emergence of pictures showing the former South African Paralympian runner Oscar Pistorius making his first public appearance since his release on parole earlier this year.
The athlete formerly known as the Blade Runner was photographed on Monday while exiting the Department of Correctional Services’ Office in Pretoria.
Pictures show the convicted murderer appearing neatly dressed, wearing brown shoes, grey pants, white buttoned shirt along with a pair of dark shades while appearing to adjust perfectly to life outside of prison.
Aside from displaying much more grey hair than before, it appeared that he was quite content with his current life as he peacefully strolled towards his vehicle.

The once highly admired double amputee runner became the centre of global news headlines after he shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home in the early hours of Valentine’s Day in 2013.
After a lengthy and publicized trial, the 37-year-old was handed a 13-year jail sentence in 2017.
He was however released on parole in January this year under strict conditions and has been living with his uncle, Arnold Pistorius in Waterkloof Pretoria, with the rules remaining unchanged until his sentence expires in 2029.
Meanwhile, since the release of the pictures, many of Reeva’s close friends spoke to the Daily Mail to share how heartbroken they are for her mother June who will never see her daughter again.
“It is very disturbing to see Pistorius smiling like he doesn’t have a care in the world,” said one friend.
Taking to X another user pointed out the jolly smirk on his face asking why he was smiling.
