The past weekend has been a hectic one for Pirates fans after being butchered by the Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns took on Orlando Pirates in a thrilling match this past weekend, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
Since then, X (previously known as Twitter) has been a no-go zone for the Pirates fans as they continue being teased. This win has given Sundowns a nine-point lead over Pirates in the Premiership standings.
Whilst the dragging continued, controversial user @ChrisExcel shared a meme which was accompanied by a caption saying before they continue with the dragging, Sundowns fans should remember that they lost their goalkeeper.
Pirates fans who were evidently going through the most could not help but use this excuse for their massive loss.

Living with one of the Pirates fans has made me see how bad football can get. I also got a chance to ask how my big brother was holding up, he told me that he was not okay because they had hopes that they’d at least do better than the 4-1 loss.
He then explained that he wishes that things could have been different if the coach had not put players who last played a long time ago as starting on the squad.
“I do not know if you understand football, but in order for you to win you also need to be active and excited. How would one win if they are ready to lose,” he added.
The two teams will face each other again on March 15, 2025, at Orlando Stadium in Soweto. We hope to see better results!
