After Chidimma Onwe Adetshina made it to the top 13 Miss SA finalists, mzansi was left conflicted as many felt she had no right to enter the pageant as she is of Nigerian heritage.
Chidimma was born in Soweto to a Mozambican mother and a Nigerian father. Just like any person born in mzansi, she holds a South African birth certificate and identity document.
As social media platforms went into a buzz, calling for the model to enter Miss Nigeria instead, some have come forward in her defence including popular deejay and music producer Prince Kaybee.
Prince Kaybee commented on an internet user on X, former Twitter, who detailed how South Africa has never questioned Helen Zille’s nationality when she was Mayor of Cape Town even though her parents are German nationals. The user further termed the noise around Chidimma’s Miss SA finalist eligibility as “black-on-black hate.”
Voicing his views on the matter, Prince Kaybee commented, “I want Chidimma to win so bad.”

Even though many were in agreement with Prince Kaybee’s sentiments, others mocked him commenting that he wanted her for himself.
So that you will record a sex tape with her?

During the 2023 Rugby World Cup, the deejay was in full support of New Zealand going as far as sharing many posts on his support of the All Blacks on his social media platforms. This angered a lot of South Africans who said he didn’t like mzansi.
His recent support for Chidimma took internet users back to the time he went against SA with many commenting:
Nothing new from you brother, you hate South Africa we all know. pic.twitter.com/1mGpDj2bov

Why are we surprised? You supported the All Blacks after all!
