The news that former president Jacob Zuma is disqualified to stand as a member of parliament for his new political party, Umkhonto Wesizwe (MKP) spread like wildfire after the Constitutional Court’s ruling, leaving many with so much to say.
Musician, poet, bead artist and proud member of MKP, Ntsiki Mazwai shared multiple posts around the matter on X, an app formerly known as Twitter.
The news that Msholozi was disqualified by the Constitutional Court to stand in the National Assembly was concluded yesterday. This ruling is due to his five-year prison sentence which he received remission for in 2023.
According to section 47 (1) of the constitution, a person who was sentenced to 12 or more months in prison without the option of parole is barred from standing in the National Assembly for five years.
The MOYA engagement platform host who is popular for not mincing her words took to the platform to share her thoughts on the revolution, commenting:
“If the revolution was real EFF would stand with MK.”
If the revolution was real EFF would stand with MK…..

One user seemed to agree with Ntsiki’s statement commenting:
Exactly sis Ntsiki, I was also worried about the stance of the EFF until I saw their funders. I was disappointed 😞

A user who clearly does not support either of the two parties commented:
How so? I mean the most common similarity between the two is rage, besides that there is nothing. Can you imagine the disgruntled MK members embracing African foreigners the way Julius does? No. That is only the beginning.

You are crazy if Zuma was serious he was supposed to have joined EFF a long time ago

One user had a question to ask, adding?
Why not the other way around? Why should a 10 year old stand with a 2 month old, imagine they say Thandiswa looks like Ntsiki, it can not be. The young must standcwirh the old, Zuma was simply supposed to have endorsed EFF in the 1st place
