The KwaZulu-Natal-based songwriter and rapper Siyabonga Nene, professionally known as Big Zulu, recently celebrated his 38th birthday.
Big Zulu is famously known for making hit songs, such as Mali Eningi, and is also in a collaborative duo with Sjava (born Jabulani Hadebe) called Inkabi Zezwe.
The internet took it upon itself to wish the multi-award-winning music artist a happy birthday after he shared a picture of himself on his Instagram with the caption, “Nkabi Nation Ngizizwa ngine njabulo nentokozo, ngizizwa ngibusisekile ngijabule inhliziyo ikhululekile (Nkabi Nation, I feel happy and gratitude, I feel blessed, and my heart is at ease). Happy birthday to me.”

Taking to X, an app formerly known as Twitter, news medium MDN News shared a picture of the South African Music Award (SAMAs) winner and wished him a happy birthday, not knowing they would be creating a platform for X users to react to his age.
While some users wished him well, others were shocked at his age. One user wrote, “These celebrities are the same as football players, abafuni guga (they don’t want to age) imagine 38 years elikhehla (old guy).”
Other users said:
Inkabi can’t be 38 no ways!!
