After what has been a busy 2024 for the Kolisi household, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has kicked off his new year with a much-deserved break away from home.

The bok number six has been making the most of his time away from rugby by treating his family to a getaway to Zimbabwe.

Taking to social media platform Instagram, the proud father of two shared a gallery of pictures of himself, his son Nicholas, daughter Kezia as well as siblings Liyema and Liphelo as they immerse themselves in all that the country has to offer.

From visiting Victoria Falls to riding on the tram-train, going on a helicopter flight and even encountering hippos along the way.

Impressed by the natural beauty of the country, he wrote: “Okay Zim, we see you! Danko.”

This later melted the hearts of thousands of his followers, some of whom applauded Siya for his role as a present father despite having gone through a public divorce with longtime partner Rachel.

“Quality time with the kids. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing your new reality. You are so real. Somehow for me, you being a present father to those kids means a lot,” commented one user.

He and Rachel announced their split in October last year via an Instagram statement which shocked the entire rugby community. While the proceedings are believed to be underway, there have been rumours that Siya has opted to relocate to Cape Town to play in the colours of his former club, the Stormers to be close to his children. This comes just months after he returned from France to play for the Sharks in Durban.

While the rumours have neither been confirmed nor denied, the double World Cup winner has been enjoying all that the festive season has to offer.
