With the excitement mounting ahead of this year’s annual Miss Universe pageant which is set to take place in November, more and more South Africans are calling for their favourite television personality Bonang Matheba to grace the stage as a host.
This comes after Anne Jakrajutatip, the founder of JKN Global Group Public Limited, a company that owns the Miss Universe Organisation took to X (formerly Twitter) asking followers who they would like to see grace the stage as a host at the prestigious event.
Hosts this year please?!

In response, an overwhelming majority shared that they would want to see one of mzansi’s proudest exports, Bonang Matheba leading the hosting duties.
The renowned businesswoman and socialite is well familiar with what it would take to host big events and does it with a high level of confidence and sophistication. With her lively presence she demands the presence of all those in her proximity and does a stellar job when she is in her element.
When it comes to presenting on the biggest platforms Queen B as she as she is affectionately known, has previously presented at numerous global events including the Miss South Africa pageant in 2018, 2023 and 2024, the 2014 MTV Europe Music awards pre-show as well as the Global Citizen: Mandela 100 concert in 2018.
And when it comes to celebrations, the BNG owner knows how to pop a bottle of champagne.
Responding to Anne’s post these were some responses from the South African public.

I really don’t like interacting on social media. But having @Bonang to host would be the best decision, as a South africa I have seen how much good work she can deliver. She is the best live broadcaster in Africa, and can also handle pressure so well and a professional at it. pic.twitter.com/5NxfsSdDgO
