During the AFCON quarter-finals recently, the whole continent got to see some of the beautiful women who went to support their teams at the stadium. Women from Cape Verde stole many internet users’ hearts as many took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to express how beautiful they were.
This occurred during a match between our soccer boys Bafana Bafana and Cape Verde held in Ivory Coast recently.
The South African national team went on to win 2-1 in the penalty knockout after Ronwen Williams managed to save four goals, sending us straight to the semi-final to battle it out with the Nigerian national team this coming Wednesday, 7th February.
The reaction from internet users seeing the Cape Verde beauties ranged from people wanting to hop on flights to Cape Verde to women attracting tourists with their beauty.

Former music manager and director at The Orchard, a Sony Music Entertainment subsidiary, Nota Baloyi defended South African women commenting:
Gentlemen, South African women are out of this world… You will be very disappointed when you see how the girls from Cape Verde look from behind. It’s not a pretty sight, the face card doesn’t decline but the ass is on a tight budget!
