Rapper and hitmaker Emtee recently visited L’Tido’s podcast for a relaxed and fun one on one.
The musician who has given us some of the best hits the country has ever heard shared many things including his experience with racism during the apartheid era.
In a short video clip of the interview shared by user @Am_Blujay Emtee shared the following while on the sit down with the podcaster:
“I’ve had a taste of apartheid. My grandmother used to work in the burbs, she was a maiden, and I didn’t know English by then. But I could tell, these white kids is gossiping about me, I was like cool I’m going to let it slide. ”
The rapper added:
“Then, while we were playing, they made me the hoax and they were climbing on top of me. Why am I the hoax? And I’ve got two white kids sitting on me, and when I complained about that, they got mad. They hit me with an avocado, man. I told my grandmom, I was like hey, I’ve just been hit.”
At this point the show’s host L’tido could not contain his laughter.
