Jacinta Ngobese voices concerns about foreign nationals in South Africa

Well-known Vuma FM  radio personality Jacinta Ngobese recently voiced her concerns about the impact of foreign nationals in South Africa.

In a series of posts on her Facebook page and an interview with TshisaLIVE, Jacinta has called on South Africans to be more aware of the shifting employment landscape.

Jacinta clarified to the publication that her concerns about foreign nationals in South Africa are not xenophobic but stem from her worries about the issue. She expressed discomfort with how foreign nationals are dominating certain industries while many South Africans face high employment.

She further questioned the logic of high unemployment in the presence of foreign workers and expressed frustration with the current state of affairs in the country.

In a recent Facebook post, Jacinta highlighted a statement from the Minister of Public Works regarding the hijacking of 338 buildings in Durban, with only one building recovered. She pointed out that one of the recovered buildings housed 120 illegal immigrants, questioning the situation in the other hijacked buildings.

According to The Citizen, a coordinated operation in KwaZulu-Natal led to the arrest of at least 123 undocumented foreign nationals. The operation, involving SAPS, Metro Police, Correctional Services, Home Affairs, and other agencies, also resulted in the seizure of counterfeit US dollars valued at R4.1 million in Point, Durban CBD.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), it seems Jacinta is not alone in her concerns about the presence of illegal foreign nationals across the country.

One user said:

Patriots any legal minds that can facilitate this – we seriously need to take our government to court of jobs and illegal immigration in the country
We are sidelined in favor of foreigners and it’s a crime by the government to let illegals remain in the country, someone is not… pic.twitter.com/DJw0PvbYiU

Another added:

It’s only a matter of time before civil war breaks out in south Africa between south Africans and illegal foreigners. Our government has given illegal foreigners too much power over south Africans💔they are not even afraid to threaten south Africans publicly.
