What started with rapper K.O reflecting on his journey in the music industry ended in him having to “rebuke” controversial media figure Nota Baloyi after he made comments about K.O’s friend and late rapper, AKA.
K.O – whose real name is Ntokozo Mdluli – took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday, 21 December to share the following:
“Watching my career in real time might give the impression that this sh*t easy. Easy to undermine the fact that I came out hot with the group [Teargas], took off as a solo act, fell off and got hated for a minute, did the impossible when I came back and obliterated the skeptics. I’m humbly on an island of my own if we are talking longevity and career span in the game.”
The rapper and businessman concluded: “RIP #Mega. You don’t have to agree, your disdain changes nothing. Happy holidays.”

The post received over 130,000 views, with one of the viewers being Nota.
Commenting under K.O’s post about the late AKA, who was brutally murdered in the city of Durban, the controvesial music executive wrote, “Not forgetting you watched CCTV footage of your precious little brother get given a wedgie while your so-called friend and co-collaborator got lined outside one of your favourite Durban hangout spots. Posting RIPs like your own blood failed at the job you got for him.”

K.O did not let Nota’s comment slide.
“Satan I rebuke you!” said the Sete hitmaker. He then went on to say that Nota appropriated AKA’s tragic passing for relevance, adding that the late rapper condemned Nota’s “whole existence” before his passing.
K.O continued, “Then proceeded to spew disgusting lies about me and everyone you maliciously and falsely accused. You sickly demented man! No matter how hard you pray to the devil you worship your lies will never miraculously turn into truth. Hell awaits, you lil demon.”
