Kelly Khumalo recently sat down with Sol Phenduka and Dineo Ranaka on Khaya FM and chatted about the late Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa.
The muso expressed how she felt sorry for everyone who was participating in the court of public opinion without having any facts. ‘I feel sorry for them [people], you don’t have a life of your own, such that you are latching on anything that has to do with something, or sort of a story. Even if it’s not there you want to create it in your head so that it’s there and you are entertained.’
Kelly has been the under public scrutiny since the death of Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa.
The musician went on to mention that the trial is no longer a sensitive issue but rather a form of entertainment to people. She expressed the sad part being that people losing touch with the fact that families are living and suffering through what is happening.
‘Everyone comes up with their own stories and they build it up, they believe it and they run with it for likes and for clout.
When asked if there’s ever a time she breaks down when thinking about Senzo, she responded not anymore. ‘I’ve had those moments but not anymore, you learn to live with such things and you accept them for what they are. ‘
She also mentioned that sometimes she dreams about him and to her it’s very comforting.
