Singer and reality TV star Kelly Khumalo has once again been dropped by a second music festival that she was booked to perform at.
The Maseru Jazz Festival which had booked the singer, sent out a press release informing the public of these unfortunate news. This is the second music festival to drop Kelly as the Tribute to Women festival had also sent out a statement earlier releasing the Voice of Africa from her singing duties.
The Maseru Jazz festival is set to take place at Maseru Park in Mafikeng, on Sun 24 Sep, 11:00 AM until Mon 25 Sep, 02:00 AM. The show had Kelly as one of the performers with other acts such as Nathi, Mafikizolo, Sechaba, Selaelo Selota and many more.
The statement released by the festival management reads:
“As Maseru Park we here to inform you that we have seen comments on social media abut one of our guests’ performers which came to the attention that we need to inform our public and society that we are putting KELLY KHUMALO on hold. We respect the professionalism of the legal team on the process.
“The management of Maseru Park in the interest of our Ja Festival, we have taken the decision to relieve KELLY KHUMALO of the obligation to perform at our festival, and we acknowledge that she is not guilty until proven so.”
Entertainment commentator Phil Mpela shared the two press releases on his Twitter acount.
