According to statements made by those who were present at the singer’s home when the fatal incident occurred, Senzo was shot after two men budged into the house and started demanding cell phones and money.
At the time, Kelly’s daughter, Thingo was only 7 months old when her father was gunned down.
The incident occurred October 26, 2014, in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg, and is currently underway at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
According to The Citizen, amid an episode of Kelly’s reality TV show, Life with Kelly, Thingo and her mother opened up about life without Senzo.
“My daughter not having a dad will never be something that sits well with me. I look at her, and my heart just sinks. If you miss him, it’s okay to miss him too. So, how do you feel?” Kelly asked Thingo.
“Sad because he’s not here”, Thingo replied.
