Local actress Khanyi Mbau recently shared a post-op video of herself in bandages. The Wife star, now living in Dubai, said she grew tired of using Botox and fillers every few months to keep her looking youthful.
She decided instead to take more permanent measures. The 38-year-old looked like she had gone through the most, covered in compression bandages to keep down the swelling on her tender face.

Following surgery, Khanyi said, “I am a few hours out of surgery… As you can see, I am super swollen. Ya, here we go.”
The TV personality revealed she had a few procedures done, including blepharoplasty and a subnasal lip lift.
She added in the Instagram post: “Now we bake, bought a new face. I know, I know. before we all lose it, it’s still fresh and super tight.. it will take a few weeks to cook..”
Khanyi closed the comments on the post because she said she couldn’t read due to her blurred vision.
It didn’t stop fans and her detractors from sharing their thoughts on her surgery on X (formerly Twitter). As expected, many brought up her history of skin bleaching and her penchant for cosmetic procedures to keep her looking young.
A concerned fan wrote: “I wish Khanyi Mbau hadn’t shared that reel before she’d completely healed because now the money-deficient people are projecting negative energy onto her healing journey and that may manifest into reality.”
