The internet does not forget; this is what Democratic Alliance MP Renaldo Gouws is learning the hard way as the DA has finally suspended him after a call for his removal from parliament following the resurfacing of his old videos where he was “voicing out his frustrations” on what he called “unfair treatment” that white people living in South Africa were subjected to post-apartheid.
The videos, which date as far back as 2009, show a clearly angered Renaldo passionately sharing that being a white person under the democratic government led by the ANC was totally unfair.
After many videos that upset many people about the MP came out, internet users called for his parliamentary removal, going as far as creating a petition.
A few days after the petition started circulating, a new video which shocked people even more made its way to the internet, where Renaldo was heard saying:
“There’s a couple of things I want to say. Kill the fuc*n k%firs, kill all the f**n nig%rs. That’s all I’ve got to f**n say. Kill all the f**n k%firs, kill all the nig%rs. Now that I have your attention, how did it feel when you heard that? How did it make you feel as a black man to hear that? Not even to talk about white people.”
He continued, “Now that I have your attention, let me explain something to you. I didn’t mean anything I said but I wanted to evoke a response out of you so that you can understand what the next part of it is about.”
Renaldo went on to speak about Julius Malema, who was then an ANC Youth League president, as he had visited the University of Free State, and while addressing students, he started singing the struggle song “Kill the boer, kill the farmer.”
Narrating Julius’s speech and the “kill the boer song” he sang at UFS, Renaldo added, “That entire place f**n erupts and all of them sing it, you know, like f**n barbaric people, they start singing it. What springs to my mind, this is educated people in South Africa. This is a bunch of people that in no way were directly affected by apartheid, not even Julius Malema, and here they are singing about killing the boer, killing the farmer, and they’re calling all of them rapists.”

The resurfacing of this video might be the nail on his coffin, as political leaders like Gayton McKenzie and many others joined in the quest to have him removed from parliament.

BREAKING : Finally the DA acts against Renaldo Gouws. Did they have to be pressured to take this action? Just yesterday John Steenhuisen said what Renaldo said was 16 years ago when he was young and irresponsible. Wow. #TheCMShow @Radio702 pic.twitter.com/2EZs0L7C18
