Kim Kardashian is set to star in the 12th season of American Horror Story, titled Delicate, alongside Emma Roberts.
In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, co-creator Ryan Murphy said, “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family.”
The publication says that the role was written specifically with the reality star in mind. Ryan was impressed with Kim’s hosting skills on the set of Saturday Night Live and spoke to Kim about crafting a unique role for her scripted TV debut. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture,” says Ryan.
He also says that Halley Feiffer – the series’ showrunner and writer – wrote a “fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim,” and describes the series to be ambitious and unlike anything they have done before.
On Instagram, Ryan Murphy Productions shared a short video, captioned, “Emma and Kim are Delicate.
This summer. FX and Stream on @hulu #AHSFX.”

The post received love from some; however, many were not too keen to see Kim being a part of the iconic franchise.
One user commented, “Or we could give aspiring actors who’ve worked hard to build their careers opportunities :/ No offense to Kim and Im happy for her that she’s chasing a dream but c’mon. This is just too clout-y for me.”
Another said, “Unfortunately it’s going to be a hard pass this season. It was a good run ?.”
“From Jessica Lange to Kim Kardashian ??,” said another fan.
One angry user commented, “Please tell me this is a joke! Why ruin a good series by adding a kardashian ? I think you’re gonna lose a heap of us now! Bring back Evan [Peters] instead.”
American Horror Story: Delicate is scheduled to shoot in New York City in April.
