MaXhosa, a South African brand by Laduma Ngxokolo is steadily expanding its global reach, a development that fills the designer with immense excitement.
The store recently opened a new shop in New York in February, the brand has also been part of the New York fashion show.
Recently, former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama shared a picture of herself wearing a MaXhosa SS23 collection dress, reposting on X (the app formerly known as Twitter), Laduma wrote in his caption, “This dress is from our @MaXhosaAfrica ‘ALKEBULAN’ SS23 collection, never thought it would go this far.”

This is not the only time Michelle has been spotted wearing a MaXhosa dress, last year she was seen wearing a MaXhosa Alkebulan Showstopper dress from their AW/SS22 collection while in the country.
