South African DJ Lamiez Holworthy took time to share her pregnancy journey with her fans including her ups and downs.
In a hilarious clip posted by the DJ herself, Lamiez relieved that her pregnancy isn’t as great as people depicted it to be, despite people complimenting her that she’s carrying her pregnancy “so well.”
“Ba Sa Le fora,” which translates to “ it’s not nice here.”
The radio presenter expressed her gratitude for being able to carry her child, she also stated that women should be more open about their pregnancy journey.
“As funny as it is, there’s a lot of changes that come with being pregnant, physically, mentally and emotionally. Throw in the hormones, the nausea, the abdominal pains and migraines and the only thing that makes it all worth it is feeling your baby kick. Nothing could’ve ever prepared me for this journey but it is one I am so grateful for. One I prayed for and even if it gets worse, it’ll all be worth it – my child will be worth it. To every expectant mom, block out the noise and enjoy every minute of it,” she said
Lamiez and her husband, hip-hop artist Khuli Chana, announced back in November that they are expecting their first child together. Khuli has two children from a previous relationship.
While speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lamiez opened up about accepting Khuli Chana ‘s daughter Nia, from his relationship with Asanda Maku, as her own and how she’s taken her on a journey of motherhood.
“I am raising an eight-year-old from my husband’s previous relationship. She is my daughter and that for me has been the biggest blessing in my life to date,” she said.
