The late Ukhozi FM presenter and founder of Crown Gospel Awards Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule was revealed to be working on a second book before her untimely passing.
Just three months after being diagnosed with lung cancer, her husband Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule took to social media to announce his wife’s passing after she was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath.
The renowned radio presenter has since been remembered as a mother figure to many of her family members and someone who had a love for people.
News publication, The Citizen, states that Zanele was laid to rest in Durban where politicians and musicians came together to honour her legacy.
SABC’s acting group executive Lala Tuku said, “The SABC will always cherish its partnership with Ms Mbokazi-Nkambule for the Crown Gospel Music Awards, as they shone a light on a much-loved music genre in the country.”
She later commended Zanele’s passion for wanting to develop musicians in the music industry.
As per reports by entertainment publication, ZiMoja, Zanele’s publicist Nonjabulo Mduli revealed that she had been working on another book after publishing four books titled, Dear Daughter: #Qhakaza Girl, Push! Phusha! Push! You’re Closer Than You Think, This Battle Is Not Yours, Maids and Madams, and Before The Vows.
Speaking to the above-mentioned source regarding the release of the new book, Nonjanulo said, the family would decide when the book would be released given that it was still a work in progress.
