The news that Lion King producer Lebo M was divorcing his fourth wife Pretty Samuels surfaced late last year, shortly after the couple had celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
This was confirmed when Lebo confirmed with TsisaLIVE that, he had indeed instructed his lawyers to prepare for divorce proceeds.
In a statement shared by the Lion King producer’s company, Lebo M production, he was quoted saying
“I need peace of mind because 2024 is a big year for me, with exciting projects lined up. More details about the big year ahead for me will be revealed.”
The Sunday World spoke to associates who shared that the former Department of Transport employee who started dating Lebo around 2021 soon after, left her job to be with him before they moved to Taiwan. They later moved back to the country and soon got married living in the producer’s Johannesburg home.
The publication further states that Pretty was not only Lebo’s wife but she also worked hand in hand with him in his company. Lebo is said to have given Pretty large sums of money for the home up-keeping.
The associates are said to have revealed that Pretty “has gone to court to seek an order to force Lebo to pay her R150 000 per month in spousal maintenance. This includes R10 000 per month for holiday allowance, R23 000 for a car instalment, R5 000 for cellphone, R35 000 for rent or bond, and R6 500 for groceries.”
The publication further states that, “She is also demanding R2 million from him to cover her legal costs for their pending divorce. The money would be used, among others, to hire a signature expert to determine whether or not the signature appearing on the ante-nuptial contract Lebo submitted to the court, in which he claims they were not married in community of property, is authentic.”
