The legacy of the late award-winning rapper and dancer Costa Titch will continue to be celebrated. This time in the form of a block party.
Known for hits such as Big Flexa and Nkalakatha, Costa – whose real name is Costantinos Tsobanoglou – died suddenly on stage while performing at the ULTRA Musical Festival at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on 11 March 2023. His mother, Lara Langeveld, has since taken over his social media accounts following his passing.
Addressing his fans (the Titch Gang) on Instagram, a recent post shared news of a legacy celebration in honour of the late star on Friday, 26 January in Germiston.
“TITCH GANG STAND UP!! Road To Titch Gang Block Party. Let’s celebrate his legacy and his birthday in style at @huulabeach the Titch Gang way! Line up dropping soon! In loving memory of Costa titch to honour his legacy and the celebration of his birthday. See you there.”
Green heart emojis flooded the comment section, with one social media user saying, “[I would] love to be there to celebrate you @costatitch.”

As per SA Hip Hop Mag, the legacy celebration aims to recognise Costa’s significant contributions to the local music scene while offering the Titch Gang a platform to express the love and admiration for the late hitmaker. Although the lineup is yet to be announced, organisers have promised an evening filled with music, performances, and appearances from a few familiar faces by some of Costa’s most trusted collaborators.
