Actress and model Lerato Kganyago has hit back at online criticism following her latest purchase of a local mall.
While the entire world recently celebrated the day of love, universally recognised as Valentine’s Day, many people may have found themselves spoiled with extravagant gifts as a token of appreciation towards their spouse or loved one.
For Lerato and her husband Thami Ndlala, the celebrations were extra special as they decided to make a massive purchase – the Sterland Mall in Sunnyside, Pretoria.
The mall has since been renamed to the Ndlala Mall by Thami Ndlala, and while many social media originally shared in their joy, some felt that renaming the mall after Thami might have been a bit over the top.
Taking to the video streaming platform TikTok, Lerato recently shared a video clip showcasing the newly renovated entrance to the mall and captioned her post, “God is for all of us.”

This later caused hundreds of followers to enter the comment section to share their thoughts on the matter, while others went as far as to seek employment opportunities. However, there was one comment that seemed to irritate the media personality.
One user asked: “Did he have to mention ‘by Thami Ndlala’? That’s the problem with black people, we make noise when we have money. Real wealth is silent if it was a white guy owning this building, you would know.“
Furious by the comment, Lerato responded by saying: “You are a bunch of evil people that hate black success. Is Rupert Silent running your lives in this country? Or is the self-hatred in your blood? Did you want me to put your dad’s name?”
Her comments have since gained support from the rest of her followers, who have highlighted how important it is to support our own.
