South African veteran actress Lilian Dube has advised young talents and upcoming stars in the entertainment industry.
Some of you may best know her portraying Masebobe in the soap opera Generations or for selling Clientèle life funeral covers.
Speaking to the Daily Sun, the star warns new stars to respect themselves and not allow fame to get over their head or the better of them.
“Young talent needs to honour those around them. You can be on top today and be down the next day,” she told the publication.
She also advised them to never forget their fans as they play a huge role in their lives as performers.
“We are who we are because of those who are around us. Our fans play a huge role in our lives as performers,” she added.
“As much as you might be famous, you must know that you are not above anyone else,” she said.
She urged the young and upcoming talents to have good manners.
“How you carry yourself as an individual says a lot to those around you. My message to everyone is that let’s go back to the basics and know why we are here,” she said.
The star has also been fortunate enough to be a part of the incredible voice talent of Kizazi Moto: Fire Generation which is available to watch on Disney plus.
