South African singer-songwriter and businesswoman Dududzile Ngwenya popularly known as Lady Du has been doing great for herself.
She has publicly shared her ambition of becoming a businesswoman, while she continues to share her journey about how she plans to reach these goals.
Taking to Instagram, the Umsebenzi Wethu hitmaker shared a picture of herself and in her caption, she wrote:
“I took a lot of punches, but I’m still standing, I fought a lot of fights, I’m still standing, I cried more than I smiled, I’m still alive and breathing, at some point I thought I was breaking but God told me I’m bending, this part of my life isn’t the complaining part, the ungrateful part, the crying part, the angry part. I am in a content space, I’m happy, I am loved, I have a supportive structure.”
“It will show in my work but most importantly I know who God is in my life, I am safe and protected by his blood!!! Out of all the things I wished for and received I am happy I never lost myself. When you feel overwhelmed by the world and your work take a break from it! It really helps,” she added.
She also wrote that she has built two successful businesses, and thanked everyone who is involved in her music career, “I have successfully built two business that will look after me till I am old, it took a lot of sacrifices especially in my music career. To artists, look at all the people you grew up listening to and learn from some of their mistakes. Fame might be forever, but money will never come consistently in the industry we are in.”
She concluded her caption by saying, “You know how your life is behind closed doors let it be truthful and fulfilling. You’ll have to deal with yourself when you reach your 50s. Live with no regrets.”
