After coming off the bench in his first four games for the Springbok, 22-year-old prodigy Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu finally got the nod for his first start from coach Rassie Erasmus.
Standing tall and proud at the number 10 position where veterans Handre Pollard or Manie Libbok usually are, Sacha managed to lead his team to a 33-9 victory against the Wallabies side in Brisbane, where the men in green and gold usually have a hard time winning. This is their first victory in Suncorp Stadium since 2013. Proving that he can hold his own in such a star-studded team.

When asked during a post-game interview whether the youngsters performed well he said “I think so, overall they played really well.” Continuing, he says “We wanted the two guys earning their fifth caps and first starts, Elrigh and Sacha, to experience what it is like to play at a venue where we normally really struggle and against a team that we have a lot of history with and see how they go.”
Fellow teammate Handre Pollard joked and teased about switching positions to officially and permanently move Sacha to the number 10 position. The team’s overall performance has been so dominant that the players are doing in squad jersey swaps, instead of swapping with players from other countries.

βItβs my crown year. This has been the most awesome year ever. To rub shoulders with my heroes and to see them as my teammates now is just a dream come true. I hope that this year is just a building block for the future,” the young player said.
He continues to express how this opportunity has been a dream come true for him, βI feel amazing. Iβm so happy the guys could pull it together. There was a bit of talk about the curse of Suncorp. To have a good training week and then execute and put points on the board against a quality outfit was our goal.”
