Recording artist and producer Lloyiso Gijana is someone South Africa has watched grow up and come into his own as an established artist in the industry. Unlike many, he made full use the popularity that he garnered from the well-loved talent show Idols SA, where he was trusted into the limelight as a mere teenager.
Fast forward a few years, Lloyiso’s career has been the stuff of dreams, as he has managed to establish himself as one of the more notable soulful artists in the country. He has consistently expressed his excitement for the trajectory of his career, as music is the only thing he’s known he wants to do since he developed an interest in music from the age of 12.
Having previously signed with infamous recording label Ambitiouz Entertainment and American Universal Music Group, Lloyiso has revealed that he is now an independent artist, seven years into his career. He further expressed his eagerness to explore this new journey with his fans and supporters.
Two years after releasing his critically acclaimed album titled Seasons, LLoyiso celebrates an accomplishment not a lot of artists get to achieve in their lifetime which is reaching platinum status, not once, but five times. Taking to his Instagram, he shared the exciting news, crediting the writers and producers he worked with to assemble this fine piece of work.

It will be interesting to see the trajectory of Lloyiso’s career as an independent artist, whether the newly found “freedom” will bring much-needed liberation or expose the need for recording labels for artists. However, judging from what we have seen from him so far, it is safe to say we should expect nothing but the best from the Speak hit-maker.
