Celebrity chef and cookbook award winner Lorna Maseko gave a few American A-listers, including singer Omarion, a taste of South Africa when she served dishes like magwinya, seven colours and more.
The celebrated chef, who has been spending some time in The States, took to Instagram to share images of the dinner and menu.
Lorna captioned the post, “This week I hosted my first pop up in Los Angeles, California celebrating South African food and showcasing my beautiful country and heritage. The event was attended by colleagues and friends, new and old. It’s always been my goal and vision to take South African food to the world – what an amazing evening & incredible crowd of people to have in one room, definitely one for the books and a very proud moment!”
She concluded, “[Here’s] a glimpse of what went down – more coming soon! ?? ?❤️Thanks to @brandsouthafrica & @amarula_official for helping bring this vision to life!”
Besides the two dishes previously mentioned, Lorna also served guests venison carpaccio, gemere (ginger beer) sorbet, pickled fish broth, and Amarula milktart.

Actor Khaya Dladla said, “I do love this for you lover ???.”
