This long weekend, Mzansi will be graced with South African singer Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona’s, better known as Makhadzi, new album.
Taking to her Instagram timeline, the Ma Yellowbone hitmaker announced to her fans the release date of her upcoming album. She compared the album to pregnancy and said that on June 16, 2023, she would give birth to twins who would be given the names DEAR EX and Niazwifha official audio.
This comes after the award-winning musician made headlines for the past few weeks as a result of her allegations of exploitation against her former record label Open Mic Productions.
The singer alleged that she was never paid for the music she released while she was signed to the record label.
The conflict between the record label and Makhadzi over a contract then served as the inspiration for the album’s title.
She captioned the post saying:
“My album is pregnant with 15 songs ?. I’m about to deliver twins ?♀️ on the16th of June. Baby no1 (DEAR EX ) zwininakele??. Baby no2 ( niazwifha official audio) all roads leads to auto renewal album ?.”
The post was followed by another where she expressed her excitement for the release of her upcoming album.
“Happy Monday ,❤️happy new week. let’s start our new week with good energy, we counting down for dear x and niazwifha official this Friday 16 June,” wrote Makhadzi.
