
In honour of celebrating Women’s Month in the best way possible, the Malibongwe Arts Festival is set to host their sixth annual ‘Tribute to Women’ concert brought to you by Magula Productions. The event will be taking place at Mark’s Park in Emmerentia, and is described as a celebration that honours the strength, resilience, and creativity of women in South Africa.
According to their website, the heartbeat of this year’s event lies in the compelling line-up the event organisers put together, which includes the likes of amapiano maestro Kelvin Momo and Ringo Madlingozi, who will be accompanied by an array of strong, well-accomplished female artists such as the veteran Zonke, Nomfundo Moh and Lwah Ndlunkulu.
“This year, as we celebrate 30 years of democracy, we also commemorate the victories and strides made by women in various fields. The event not only aims to empower and uplift the women in our society, it also will be a space of reflection and commemoration of the contributions of women throughout the 30 years of democracy in South Africa. Furthermore, it will also be honouring the role they played prior to democracy.
