Mandisi Tshingana who once started the initiative of raising funds for the legendary actress, Brenda Ngxoli is at it again. This time he is fundraising for former Big Brother Mzansi housemate, Uyanda Hlangabezo.
Hailing from Engcobo, Eastern Cape Uyanda was evicted after reaching the top 2, leading to him swiftly missing out on clinching the grand prize of R2 million. This did not sit well with his fanbase, fondly known as Honey Badgers, prompting them to ask Mandisi to be at the forefront of the fundraising.
On the latest update, the funds were over R100 000 Mandisi also revealed that they will keep the movement going until month’s end, and the aim is to have R500 000 by then.

Uyanda described as the relentless fighter by Mzansi Magic, took every challenge personally, never backing down from a fight – whether it was for HoH, a game win or a heated argument. After falling short multiple times, the pedagogical practitioner from Gqeberha finally bagged a crucial win when it mattered most, which took him straight to the finale.
Raised by his grandmother, Uyanda revealed that his favourite verse from the bible is Isaiah 60v 22 “When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.” and that verse carried him through his stay in the Big Brother house.
Mandisi is popular for his famous TikTok videos where he portrays a domestic worker who is always in a good mood and dancing, as well as his humorous Facebook posts where he engages his followers. After his initiative of helping Brenda, he made it to the nominees list Emerge Africa Awards under the category of Humanitarian.
