South African music lovers and festival goers can look forward to yet another upcoming music festival showcasing international and local talent. Calabash South Africa is set to kick off early next year, with Grammy award-winning pop-rock group Maroon 5 headlining the event, and featuring acts including Ava Max, South Africa’s Lloyiso, and more.
Joining headlining act Maroon 5 (Girls Like You), SAMA nominee Lloyiso (Seasons), and pop sensation Ava Max (Sweet but Psycho) are British piano-driven pop-rock band Keane, electronic music group Meduza, and South Africa-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Will Linley.
Justin Van Wyk, CEO of Big Concerts, stated, “Calabash South Africa is the international music festival that everyone has been waiting for, that will feature the world’s biggest artists with industry leading production at the largest venues on the African continent. Taking place at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on 31 January 2024 and at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on 3 February 2024, tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, 3 November 2023 at 09h00 from www.calabashsouthafrica.co.za or Ticketmaster.co.za.
