The death of the South African rapper and Hip-Hop sensation Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, who was better known AKA took a huge toll on his fans who are referred to as the Megacy.
The Hip-Hop sensation was killed on the 10th of February 2023, outside a popular restaurant called Wish on Florida Road in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal along with his friend, Tebello Motsoane, an entrepreneur and celebrity chef, who was also killed in the shooting.
Sadly the rapper didn’t live to see his album get released after the hard work he had invested in it. The family of the late rapper has decided to keep his legacy alive and going by honoring the Megacy to an exclusive listening session of the “Mass Country ” album.
The album is set to be released this Friday, 24th of February.
Taking to social media, the family announced the listening session of the album.
“It was always AKA’s wish for The MEGACY to hear #MassCountry before anyone else so we’re hosting an exclusive Megacy Listening Session This Thursday in Johannesburg. Limited seats available so to score yourself an invite simply post your favourite AKA video with the hashtags,” the statement read.

Although it is an excitement moment for the Megacy as they get to listen to the late rapper’s last album first hand, many were not filled with excitement for the release as they claim they are still mourning the SupaMega.
Here is what the Megacy had to say while they took to the late rapper’s Instagram comment section under the post.
“We tryna process his passing and y’all keep posting,” one fan wrote.
Another said: “We’re traumatized as country, hard to believe.”
“His death feels so unreal whenever I see a post, it still hurts,” said another fan.
